Week 3... Works in Progress

Below are some models I've completed for my 3rd week assignments in 3DF...

Cookie Press Model, my new enemy... This one was horrible (between 5 and 10 hours of work)
Eye Screw Model (between 3 and 5 hours of work to complete)

3D Foundation Competencies

Completed Models from Week 2 of 3DF (between 20 and 30 hours of work)
So far I'm no master of 3D Modeling software (Maya), but just in the past 3 weeks I've gone from knowing nothing to being able to make some pretty decent models. I learned how to block out an object's most base shapes and outline, use image planes as reference, use many of the modeling tools, and to reroute edge flow and topography. This knowledge is definitely the basic stuff, and I feel like there's still a lot more that I need to learn, but this will all carry over and set the foundation for the next classes involving 3D modeling and for my portfolio class later on.

On my Way

Just finished my last general ed. class for my degree with an overall 3.7 GPA... I'm feeling really good about this so far, especially considering my only other experience with college (community college) before this was not so great. Having a role model (finally!) helps too.

My English Comp. class made me research someone in my field who inspires me and I found Adam Adamowicz. His concept art was such a huge part of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout Series after Bethesda got their hands on the IPs, and those games have always been really close to my heart. I really want to work with Bethesda some day and have the honor of working where he left off, even though my art will never be a worthy replacement.
